Project highlights
Relationships
Partnering with Giants Reef mining on this project was the catalyst
and excellent model for future initiatives. CDE Capital played a
significant brokerage role with the Waromungu traditional owners,
negotiating a very favourable employment and training program for
their people and facilitating the speedy establishment of the mine.
Technical
Moving a total of 400,000 BCM on the project , two shifts
were worked to establish the open cut mine and extract the gold
ore to a suitable depth where the client could establish an underground
portal.
Employment
The majority of the project’s workforce was Aboriginal
and CDE Capital worked closely with the local Waromungu community
to recruit 10 people for the project.
This opportunity provided meaningful employment for people who
had previously been relying on Community
Development Employment Projects (CDEP) participant supplements from
the Federal Government.
The training provided by CDE Capital has paved the way for these
people to gain new skills through meaningful employment and provided
the opportunity to further their careers throughout the Northern
Territory.
Safety
The contract was completed LTI Free, an extraordinary achievement
for those involved, and exemplary example of the standard CDE Capital
expects on all of its projects.
